A cold snake squirms harder when it’s head’s jarred
Show no face, know your place, while I push past
Fear monger, no heart
Blindsided by your hate from the start
Fear becomes hate
But in the end don’t we all bleed the same?
Break you but I won’t hate you
In my eyes you’re a snake I don’t blame you
Scared thru and u let it shape you
Shook bones, no home that’ll take you
Which side you gonna sow your seed?
The cold truth is everybody bleeds
War ready, I stand true
When fear turns to hate everybody loses
Fear becomes hate
But in the end don’t we all bleed the same?

Wonderful dramatic opening, the voice of a black woman in all her honesty, vulnerability and openess. And then one of the fiercest tracks of Zulu, total hardcore: 'Now they are through with me', full of twists and turns, and suddenly ending in a kind of soul-track, brilliant! This is 21st century music at it's best. The end lecture is dramatic and disturbing, spoken again by a black woman. Makes you think. Hesperus
